Minnie's Island Volunteer WorkDay

Minnie's Island Community Conservancy is seeking volunteers to assist with collecting and restocking the firewood supply; watering plants and newly planted oak tree seedlings; and building a stone pier under the cabin's deck. Interested volunteers will have the added bonus of learning a little about the stone masonry process and setting some of the stones permanently into place. Don't miss this opportunity to leave your mark on this treasure of an island.

For those attending, please arrive at Lock House 8 by 08:45 to check in. From there we will walk to the canoe launch.
